The Makeup Studio by Sophie is committed to protecting your personal information and handling it in accordance with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

  • Maintain accurate records for insurance and regulatory purposes

  • Use photographs or videos for advertising and marketing only with your consent

  • Paper records are securely stored.

  • Digital records are kept on password-protected and/ or encrypted systems.

  • Photos/ videos are stored on secure devices.

  • Access is limited to authorised team members.​

1.5 Marketing

Marketing emails are sent only if you have opted in. You can withdraw consent at any time.

We do not sell or share your data for marketing. We may share limited information with:

  • Booking or payment platforms

2. Terms & Conditions


2.1 General Terms

By booking an appointment, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

2.2 Appointments & Bookings

  • All appointments must be pre-booked and secured with a deposit/ booking fee (non-refundable & non-transferable).

  • Confirmation is sent via email.

  • Please ensure your contact details are correct.

2.3 Patch Testing

Brow services require a patch test at least 48 hours prior. If a patch test has not been carried out, the appointment may be refused. It is the responsibility of the client to arrange a patch test appointment.

2.4 Health Information

Clients must disclose all relevant medical information to ensure safe treatment.

​​​

2.5 Children, Young Clients & Guests

  • To maintain a safe and focused environment, children and multiple guests should not attend appointments unless agreed in advance.

  • No guests are permitted during makeup lessons, masterclasses or colour analysis appointments, except a parent or guardian accompanying a client under 16.

  • Clients under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, or have parental/ guardian consent.

  • Parental or guardian consent is also required for any photography, including treatment reference images and marketing images.

  • We reserve the right to decline a service if appropriate consent is not provided.

2.6 Payments & Pricing

  • Prices are displayed on the website or booking system.

  • Remaining payment is due at the time of service (excludes bridal services).

  • Prices subject to change.

 

2.7 Gift Vouchers

Gift vouchers are non-refundable and non-transferable. Missed or cancelled appointments will void the voucher. Vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash.

2.8 Photography & Videography

Before-and-after photos may be taken for treatment reference, along with videography. Marketing use requires your explicit consent.​

2.9 Liability

The Makeup Studio by Sophie is not liable for adverse reactions where information has been withheld by the client.

2.10 Client Belongings

Personal belongings remain the responsibility of the client throughout their visit. The Makeup Studio by Sophie does not accept responsibility for any loss, theft or damage to items left unattended within the studio.

2.11 Right To Refuse Service

We reserve the right to refuse service if a treatment is deemed unsafe, unsuitable, or if a client’s behaviour compromises the comfort or safety of the studio.

3. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy


3.1 Notice Period

Please give at least 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule. All deposits and booking fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. If an appointment has been cancelled last minute, or missed, upfront payment may be required for any subsequent booking.

3.2 Gift Vouchers

​​Missed or cancelled appointments using a gift voucher will result in the voucher being void.

​​​

3.3 Bridal Trial

Cancelling or rescheduling your complimentary trial with Sophie requires a £25 re-booking fee. A second re-schedule, will result in the full trial rate of £50 upfront.

3.4 Late Arrival

If you arrive late, your treatment may be shortened. If more than 15 minutes late, the appointment may need to be rescheduled and may be charged.

3.5 Illness & Safety

If you are unwell, we may decline the service if a condition poses a risk to you or others.
